The Academics photoset includes photographs related to academics and academic programs at Simmons University. This photoset is separated into eight subseries, including classroom learning, academic libraries, the home economics practicum, nursing and physical therapy field work, the Prince School of Retailing, science labs, social work, and library science.

The Buildings & Grounds photoset documents buildings and grounds currently or historically associated with Simmons University. This photoset is divided into five subseries, including the academic campus, the residential campus, as well as historic buildings no longer owned or leased by Simmons. These historic buildings include both residential and academic properties, as well as the historic President's House.

The Student Life photoset documents the varied history of student life at Simmons University. This photoset is divided into six subseries, including student activism, athletics, dormitory events and activities, Boston Living, field trips, and travel, student traditions, and student organizations.
